Many people feel uncertain about how to navigate the intersection of law, faith, and cultural movements. For this reason, we want to provide resources that can help guide individuals as they prayerfully seek wisdom and the right assistance.

Even for those who may have never considered this becoming a potential issue, being informed ahead of time provides a significant advantage. Scripture reminds us in Matthew 10:16 to be “wise as serpents and harmless as doves.” To understand the fuller context of this instruction, we can look at Messiah’s words in Matthew 10:16–20 (AMP):

“Listen carefully: I am sending you out like sheep among wolves; so be wise as serpents, and innocent as doves [have no self-serving agenda].
Beware of men [whose nature is to act in opposition to God], for they will hand you over to the courts…
But when they hand you over, do not worry about how or what you are to say; for what you are to say will be given to you in that very hour; for it is not you speaking, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you.”

These words remind us that while challenges may arise, believers are not called to respond with fear or intimidation. Instead, we are called to walk in wisdom, faith, and confidence in God’s guidance.

When believers understand the systems shaping public policy, they are better equipped to engage society with clarity and confidence. Learning about legislative processes, legal terminology, and current debates helps individuals respond thoughtfully rather than reactively.

Informed engagement does not require hostility or withdrawal. Instead, it calls for thoughtful participation in civic life while remaining faithful to biblical convictions.

Dialogue, awareness, and education are powerful tools for navigating complex cultural moments. When individuals pursue knowledge while remaining grounded in their faith, they are better prepared to engage the world with wisdom, compassion, and courage.

In the coming posts, we will continue sharing helpful insights and resources to equip believers who desire to remain faithful while navigating today’s legal and cultural landscape.

From the beginning, God established sex and sexuality as part of His intentional design for humanity—long before culture, trends, or ideology entered the conversation.

Children today are encountering conversations about identity, gender, and sexuality earlier than any generation before them. These conversations appear in cartoons, classrooms, social media, and peer discussions—often before you and other parents know they’ve started.

This can feel overwhelming, but you are not powerless. You are your child’s first and most influential teacher. What your children believe about themselves should begin at home, grounded in truth and protected by love.

The challenge is not that parents don’t care—it’s that cultural messaging moves fast and bypasses parental involvement. To guide your children confidently, you need support, clarity, and preparation.

Parents thrive when they are equipped. And equipped parents build equipped children.

Here are a few practical steps you can begin to take:

1. Seek biblical resources and equipping within your church.

Ask your pastors or ministry leaders:

Do we have a plan for biblical sex education?

How can parents be trained to guide these conversations?

What resources can we provide families?

Church leadership often welcomes these conversations—they simply need to know the need exists.

2. Start the conversation at home.

Don’t wait for a crisis.
Don’t wait for a question.
Don’t wait for culture to speak first.
Introduce God’s design in simple, natural ways that match your child’s age and understanding.

3. Create a home where questions are safe.

If your child knows they can talk to you about anything without fear, they will come to you with the harder things.

4. Connect with other parents.

You are not the only one navigating this. Community strengthens families and helps parents stay encouraged and informed.

5. Stay prayerful, present, and consistent.

Parenting in today’s world requires more than vigilance—it requires partnership with God and collaboration with your church.

Through media, entertainment, legislation, school systems, and online spaces, society has reshaped how identity, orientation, and gender are defined. These messages are constant, emotionally persuasive, and intentionally crafted to shape beliefs—especially among young people.

Culture communicates through repetition, emotional storytelling, and persuasive narratives. These messages are everywhere—on social media, in classrooms, through entertainment, and in the voices of influential public figures. Because of their constant presence, many young people feel more connected to cultural ideas than to biblical truth. One message is unending; the other is often occasional.

In many cases:

Culture becomes their primary teacher

Online platforms serve as emotional counselors

Influencers function like spiritual voices

Classrooms act as subtle discipleship centers

This shift does not happen because parents lack concern; it happens because cultural messaging is fast, strategic, and often bypasses the home. By the time parents become aware of what their children are wrestling with, much of the shaping has already taken place.

For this reason, the Church cannot afford to remain passive. When culture disciples aggressively, the Church must disciple intentionally. Silence creates confusion, but clarity offers protection.

The Church’s role is not to react in fear but to respond with:

Biblical truth

Compassion

Practical wisdom

Consistent teaching

Sensitivity to the Holy Spirit

Avoiding the subject of sexuality does not preserve peace—it creates a void where confusion and misinformation thrive. When the Church speaks with courage and conviction, people begin to recognize the difference between cultural narratives and God’s design. And when truth is presented with love, it brings freedom, grounding, and clarity to individuals and families who are searching for direction.

Now more than ever, congregations need guidance from their leaders —guidance rooted in Scripture, grounded in compassion, and strengthened by the wisdom of the Holy Spirit.

In our recent teaching, Preparing Your Congregations, we discussed what it truly means to equip the Church to navigate sensitive cultural issues, particularly those surrounding identity, sexuality, and discipleship. This moment in history demands more than silence, avoidance, or reaction. It requires leaders who are spiritually anchored, relationally wise, and courageous enough to speak truth in love.

As we were preparing for this class, the Holy Spirit provided a foundational scripture for the ground work to be laid. Hosea 4:6 reads, "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge [of My law, where I reveal My will]". (AMP. version).

"I don’t believe the Church has intentionally left God’s people ill-equipped. Rather, we have not fully recognized the urgency of God’s call to be a solution in the cultural confusion surrounding LGBTQ+ and sex-education influences that are disrupting families and the peaceful environments parents desire for their children. Yet, His people are suffering and being destroyed for the lack of knowledge".

Within this section of the post, we have shared 5 areas of HOW we can become the solution God intended for us to be.

1. Preparation Begins With the Leader
Before we can prepare our congregations, God prepares us. Leaders must be spiritually aligned, emotionally steady, and surrendered to God’s voice.

Throughout the teaching, we emphasized:

Spending intentional time in the Word

Praying for clarity, courage, and compassion

Refusing to lead from fear, reaction, or confusion

Allowing the Holy Spirit to confront any areas of personal hesitation

A prepared leader becomes a stabilizing presence in an unstable world. When the shepherd is confident in God’s truth, the sheep have peace.

2. Creating a Culture Where Truth and Compassion Work Together
One of the greatest challenges in today’s Church is striking the right balance between biblical conviction and genuine compassion. Many congregations lean heavily in one direction—either firm but harsh, or compassionate but theologically unclear. Healthy preparation requires both.

We discussed how churches must:

Teach biblical sexuality clearly, consistently, and without compromise

Create safe spaces for individuals to ask questions and share struggles

Equip parents to discuss with their children about LGBTQ+ issues, as well as conversations surrounding sex education confidently

Communicate God’s design for identity with clarity and grace

Truth without compassion wounds. Compassion without truth misleads. But truth with compassion transforms.

3. Understanding the Cultural Pressures Your People Are Facing
Your congregation is being discipled—every single day—by media, peers, politics, academia, and digital culture. Silence from the Church doesn’t create safety; it creates confusion.

In Preparing Your Congregations, we explored:

How cultural narratives shape young people’s beliefs

Why avoidance leaves families vulnerable

How misinformation fills spiritual gaps

The urgency of proactive discipleship

If the Church does not disciple, culture will.

4. Practical Tools to Strengthen Your Congregation
Throughout the teaching, we introduced tools for pastors, parents, and leaders to immediately implement, including:

Structured conversations on identity and sexuality

Age-appropriate discipleship strategies

Creating supportive groups within the church

Equipping small-group leaders with confidence and language

Learning how to respond to real-life questions with biblical wisdom

The goal is not for the Church to become reactive, but prepared, trained, and unified.

5. Encouraging a Posture of Prayer, Intercession, and Spiritual Readiness
Preparation is not merely strategic; it is spiritual.

We emphasized the need for:

Intercession for youth and families

Standing in spiritual authority over deception

Recognizing and addressing spiritual warfare

Cultivating discernment within leadership teams

A prepared congregation is one that knows how to pray, how to stand, and how to walk in truth without fear.

Final Thoughts: The Church Must Lead with Courage

The world is not waiting—cultural ideologies are advancing at full speed. But God has positioned His Church to be bold, compassionate, and unwavering.

Preparing Your Congregations reminded us that we are not called to shrink back. We are called to shepherd, to disciple, and to love people toward truth and freedom in Christ.

As you continue to lead in this season, remember:

You are not alone.
God is equipping you.
Your church can be prepared.

I'm finding it's not even right vs. wrong, prejudice or phobias. Moreover, hilariously... nor is it about biblical truth oddly enough, when it should be. The truth of the matter is.... it's acceptance. Accept my way, my ideology, my standards, what I say, or hit the highway. This perspective can be proved in various areas all societies. Within the scriptures, is a wise statement made by Paul, the apostle which says "people will be lovers of themselves, unloving, calloused, irreconcilable, reckless, holding to a form of godliness outwardly, but denying its power for their conduct nullifies their claim of faith"... 2Timothy 3 (Amplified version). While many of us will agree, nonetheless, it is still disheartening.

In the early part of June, our ministry launched an announcement for our upcoming event in July. We decided to use social media as the vehicle to spread the word through paid advertisement. OMG! Why did this choice have to be made LOL. Now before I share with you all what happened, let me say LBC has promoted other events in the past that did not drum up so much antagonism and intimidation. SMH...from the time this platform released the selected video, we received threats of removing our advertising and deactivating our accounts. We were accused of copyright violations, using political views that are not inline with their policy, in addition to have received complaints from others that gives the appearance of hatred. Mind you we have no copyright infringement violations, we did not share or speak of any political views, nor have we received actual complaints from the social media platform. These were scammers using A.I. to attempt to distract us. What's also interesting, is our reach extended over 1K+ and some would say, "That's not bad". I would agree with that person or people if it wasn't for the majority of responses being between those who hate the church and those who express the truth that homosexuality is a sin, but their position is also hatred towards the LGBTQ+ community. Love Broke The Chains does not advocate for burning of flags or any type of derogatory images or comments!

Here is what I believe are keys to being true imitators of Christ and winning souls in the Kingdom of our God.

To love our neighbors as ourselves- Matthew 22:36-40.

Expressing Love is patient and kind- 1 Corinthians 13:4-7.

Remembering Christ came to seek and save what was lost- Luke 19:10.

Not forgetting all have sinned and Christ protects those whom He loves- John 3:16, 8:3-9.

Understanding and learning compassion, walking in humility, being gentleness and patience is required of us- Colossians 3:12.

These are just five that I have listed, but there are several keys, that I trust Holy Spirit will reveal to you. As a matter of fact, I also believe you know many. Sometimes we just need to be reminded. Keep in mind, many have felt and/or have been abandoned, ostracized, ridiculed, and left to figure out identity by themselves when first they came to us the body of Christ. At the time we had no answers.

Blessings and Shalom...remember "LOVE (who is God) gives us the testimony that He BROKE our CHAINS".
